Processed on your device – files are never uploaded

Scanners and phone cameras often save pages sideways or upside down. PDF4U shows every page as a thumbnail so you can turn just the pages that need it, or rotate the whole document left or right with one click.

The rotation is saved in the PDF itself, so the pages open the right way round in every viewer. Nothing is re-rendered: text stays sharp and selectable, images keep their quality, and bookmarks, links and form fields keep working.

Rotating is also the quickest fix for documents that were scanned in landscape, slides exported sideways or a single upside-down page in a long contract. You can mix directions freely: turn one page once, another twice, and leave the rest alone. If you change your mind, Reset puts every page back the way it was.

Your PDF is rotated in your browser on your own device and is never uploaded. That makes it safe for private documents, and fast even for large files, because there is nothing to upload or download from a server.

How to rotate a PDF

  1. Select your PDF

Click “Select PDF file” or drop a PDF onto the page to see all its pages.

  2. Rotate pages

Click the rotate button under a page to turn it 90° clockwise, or use “Left” and “Right” to rotate all pages – or only the portrait or landscape ones. With several files, every file is turned the same way.

  3. Save

Click “Rotate PDF”. The rotation is applied on your device.

  4. Download

Click “Download” to save the rotated PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate only some pages?

Yes. Use the rotate button under each page you want to turn, or set “Pages to turn” to “Landscape pages only” (or portrait) and click “Left” or “Right” – handy when a scan mixes sideways and upright pages.

Is the rotation saved permanently?

Yes. The new orientation is stored in the PDF, so the pages open correctly in any PDF reader, browser or printer.

Does rotating reduce the quality?

No. Rotating only changes the page orientation. Text, images and links are not touched, so nothing is re-compressed.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF4U rotates your PDF in your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded – see our privacy policy.

Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?

Unlock it first with Unlock PDF (you need to know the password), then rotate the unlocked file.

Can I rotate several PDFs at once?

Yes. Select or drop several PDFs: “Left” and “Right” then turn every page of every file, and you download the results together as a ZIP. To reorder pages as well, use Organize PDF.

How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?

Rotating in a PDF viewer usually changes only the view. Here, select the file, turn the pages, click “Rotate PDF” and download: the new orientation is saved in the file itself, so it stays that way wherever you open it.
